SPECIAL ARMED RESPONSE FORCE [SARF]
The Special Armed Response Force is an Ace Combat 3 inspired squadron founded by Abyssal Dision, and aims to positively contribute to YSFlight's combat community as well as provide a positive learning experience for new pilots.

History
Dision founded SARF several years ago with a small team, creating four divisions: the Universal Peace Enforcement Organization, Neucom, General Resource and Ouroboros. Since then, SARF has gone through several phases of inactivity until very recently. Since December of 2016, SARF has grown into a sizeable force and continues to grow and develop. While its foundations are from several years ago, the squadron is still fairly young.

Infrastructure
SARF is divided into four divisions, UPEO, Neucom, General Resource and Ouroboros. Each (except Ouroboros) has a civil services unit, and all have military divisions. Each military division is composed of two tactical flights, one flight for each hemisphere in order to account for timezones. SARF utilizes a numerical XP ranking system. Contributing to the squadron earns pilots XP points. The more XP points they attain, the higher rank they achieve. The higher their rank, the more aircraft they have access to. This rank based aircraft progression allows pilots to learn on more limited aircraft first before continuing on to SARF's more advanced aircraft.

Research and Development / Aeronautical Analysis
SARF is home to several advanced aircraft modelers, with big names such as Zenuz (RythusOmega) and more. SARF was once home to many more advanced modelers such as DarknessOfEnigma, NightRaven and more. SARF is looking for new, experienced modelers to assist with the development of new aircraft and replacing aging aircraft models for the squadron's arsenal.

In addition to SARF's history of aircraft development comes a recent focus in aeronautical analysis headed by Neucom's Dr. Simon O. Cohen (fikrikawakibi). This program strives to improve the .dat files of SARF aircraft by attempting to bring balance with other squadron aircraft through empirical and quantitative analysis. SARF's analysis team is composed of actual aeronautical engineering students who are hard at work recording data from various aircraft. Data collected is then used to attempt to produce a better, more balanced and fun performance .dat file for aircraft. The program is still very new, so results will take time to refine through the scientific method. SARF welcomes any input that members might have and welcomes any direct help with the program to improve its efficiency and effectiveness.

Armed Divisions
Universal Peace Enforcement Organization [UPEO]
The Universal Peace Enforcement Organization is SARF's primary frontline division which takes on a variety of roles. It uses a wide variety of aircraft from other divisions, but has several exclusives such as the EF-2000E Typhoon II and the Su-37U Superflanker.

SARF attempts to keep the UPEO's ranks very active, and inactive members may become replaced easily, with the inactive members transferred. UPEO is vital to the strategic and tactical requirements of SARF and is meant for pilots looking for an active frontline experience for learning and flying. SARF does understand that flying every day is an unrealistic demand, and this activity is asked to be mostly in the form of at least talking in the Discord server and letting the administration know about when they will be inactive and for how long.

Yeah.. At first, this group only exsisted out of friends and school mates.. Later, they lost interest in playing YSF exept for one player. After that i decided to make the group more "international" or open as you can call it. I actually did put alot of effort in making the site and forum, and tried developing an map and some aircrafts. But that failed since i'm not very skilled at modelling.

My idea was, that if anyone asked why we fly under this name is, like in the story, to remain peace between groups instead of the factions.

Here's a better vectored version of the logo that is closer to the one in-game.

That's because that's how the original logo was made in Ace Combat 3. Whenever the logo is used for reference in-game, that's how it looks like. The person who vectored the logo was trying to keep it consistent.

We have a new forum, interface is almost equal to YSFHQ's.
If any of you around here are interested in joining us for achieving a secure airspace, here's a link:
http://sarfysflight.byethost10.com/Forum/index.php

When we have our own server, completed Team package and maps..
We might as well create some events.
***************************************************************************************************************************

About our services:

- We assist in any "Joint Operation", when requested.
- Perform Escorts.
- Perform interceptions in any server when conflicts are being reported (includes "CAP" / "Armed Recon" roles when the threat is not found).
- Perform interceptions when the rules for multiplayer combat are being violated (e.g. when someone is being engaged and requests for help).

SARF is rebooting recruitment! We need pilots! We need you!

SARF has joined forces with Grun Solutions to combine our strength and unite our air fleets together. However, our advanced inventory cannot be utilized without people able to use it! Reply to this thread or shoot me a PM if interested.

GrunSolutions' General thread will also be welcoming SARF Recruits via our unified forum recruitment thread as soon as it is fixed up for our new squads.

SARF is preparing to release a provisionary squadron server pack for use on the GrunSolutions server and possibly other servers in the future. It is composed of some essential aircraft from the SARF arsenal that have been revised for performance, as well as to hold a new COFFIN style HUD. Once this pack is implemented on the Grun server, I would like to consider having it available for the public.

F/A-18U's cockpit position is incorrect. Not a major issue, only makes the COFFIN HUD look a bit funny. Will be fixed in a more major update to this pack.

Our team is growing, and now that I take a step back to look at things, I notice that there are a few things about SARF I should probably add for public knowledge. We still need more pilots and I'd like the community to take a look at what we have to offer and why you should enlist with us today.

SARF is pioneering a new numerical XP based reward/ranking system for contributing to the squadron. For doing things for the squadron, you gain XP points. The more XP you have, the higher rank you are. Pilots must reach certain milestones to unlock the ability to use new aircraft. Pilots can only get XP by using their SARF division tag and an aircraft within their ranking restriction. As they reach certain ranks, more aircraft will be available for them to use and obtain XP points with. The pilot with the most XP in the squadron is labeled the squadron ace. Currently this is held by Abyssal Dision but this soon may change. Will you be SARF's ace pilot?

SARF has a well developed server pack. This is not the release at the beginning of this thread but rather the one published here.

SARF is also now part of the Neo United Nations Independent Military Forces [NUNIMF] which is an alliance of squadrons that work together to make combat on HQ more fun and overall a better environment for play. Joining SARF will allow you to help that effort reach its goals.

SARF also can support a variety of skillsets. New pilots can learn how to fly with SARF, and experienced pilots can fly alongside us as well.

Currently there is one spot open in UPEO's first flight. Another spot may open soon, but once this flight is filled, we will start filling the other divisions or at least one other division. This depends on the rate of recruitment. Ouroboros division is also recruiting selectively for special operations. Please ask about that if you are interested but this is not for new pilots at the current time.

We would really love to fly with you. Please PM me or respond to this thread if you are interested in flying with us.
