Wow! I've never seen this post before, but in my time running a squadron I've picked up on a lot of this through trial and error. I wish I read this when I was first starting out! In fact, I'm sure many COs and XOs could benefit from looking over this again from time to time. Although, I don't exactly agree with "shifting through garbage," and getting rid of those that don't quite fit with the rest. To get the activity this wonderful game deserves, is to give it the player numbers it needs. In my own experience, you have to let immature members know their place, and be firm. But what may have been missed here is that bad members can also become better, just as much as the members that started out well. Other than that, this is a great guide!
