Legacy Programs and Tools for YSFlight Modding

Post by Iceman »

Gepoly/x, Surfviewo
The Blue Impulse SDK contains Gepoly/x, and Surfview/o, all of which are crucial programs to creating any YSFlight modification. Without these basic programs, you will be unable to do any modding work. To find it, scroll down and download winutil.zip and winutil2.zip.

Updated GepolyX
This version of GepolyX is an updated version released by Soji in late 2010, and has many bug fixes and improvements. I recommend downloading and replacing the old gepolyx with this new one.

Gepoly/o, DNMViewer
Mozo provides crucial tools for modding YSFlight. His Gepolyo program is the standard tool for all great YS modders, and DNMViewer is an extremely important tool for editing and animating DNMs, allowing you to view the DNM in real time while editing the animations and positioning of each SRF file. To find it, go to Download, then download DNMViewer 1.15 and Gepoly (mozo build).

SUZY's Tools
SUZY's tools are a series of easy to use drag and drop tools that allow you to resize, move, scale, align and mirror SRFs just with one hand motion. Unfortunately, the old website is down, so I've uploaded them here for public use.

Raptor's PERL Scripts
These are one of the most important things to have when modding. These perl scripts save time, energy and frustration by helping do huge tasks such as color seperation, deleting areas, rounding vertices and even seperating them from DNMs at one click. These programs are used extensively and you MUST have them.
To install this mod, download ActivePerl from http://activestate.com, and install ActivePerl (Preferably the latest version). Then, go to Start>Run and type in cmd, and hit Run. Once the Command Prompt window is open, type in the following:

ppm install tk

A new module will be installed for your computer and the perl scripts will be able to function and run correctly.

YSVRML2.0
A YS VRML viewer that allows you to convert VRML files into SRF files.
