I love the clouds too and maybe a way to change them to storm clouds (meaning they all have the same color) would be nice but it's weird with them mixing up. I also thought we would be able to make them go farther across the map or infinitely.

New YSFlight Multiplayer Test Server (20130416) running at this address should you wish to try it out:
ysfserver.com:7914

Map: Hawaii
Weapons: Enabled
AI: Enabled

*Serverlist doesn't appear to be picking it up.

Well, this is quite promising. When I tried to change vehicle, YS Chat told me that it was not supported in the network environment, yet.

I agree with the comments about the simple HUD, it was just so much more... simple. Especially in the outside aircraft views, where the new one just looks weird when you rotate the camera. The old one is so much better for combat as well. Blocks out much less of the screen.

Re-enabled Simple HUD
When the user tries to start Landing Practice mode in a map that is not for Landing Practice, the program shows an error message.
Fixed: Fonts of other-airplane info on the HUD gets huge when a sub-window is open in the OpenGL 2.0 binary.
Fixed: While playing a record with vehicle change, the player vehicle was not updated when rewind or jump.
Fixed: When resumed in a record with vehicle change, the player vehicle changed as recorded.
Thank you Mr. Yamakawa! :D

I've sent a little thanks message to him for actually checking out the thread and dealing with some of the bugs. I'll keep an eye out for any more bug reports.

Does anyone know if he has allowed a choice between using the old spherical lights for taxiways and runways or is it stars-only now? I would like to keep the old-style lights if possible. If it's possible to switch them back to the old style lights somehow I would appreciate any feedback as well (unless that's all in the source code, in which case there is no option).

I know, I'm probably being too demanding haha, first the Simple HUD and now the lights, but I do a lot of night flying, and (literally) seeing stars all the time is not something I'm going to get used to that easily.

The stars look to be added to every light in the game, so likely built in.

No physics added, so still crappy rudder control.
But, joy of joy, major (really major) graphics update. So no more pixelated fireworks and you get shiny stuff. But you need OpenGL 2.0 and above for them eye candy.
Also added are AI traffic (stock aircraft), change of vehicle, and now you CAN drive ground vehicles other than the BNI pack (yes you can now drive your beloved fuel tanker). Problem is, the tanker will start skidding after reaching around 40-50km/h. But then you can drift (sort of) in the tankers  .
