New things from Soji

That's fantastic. My only concern is how much more difficult it might become to make accurate maps as representations of real life locations. I'm just thinking about putting polygons and lines on hills or whatever. Hopefully though, it's not as big of an issue as I'm thinking it could be. I'll be so happy if I don't have to make e-grids for mountains anymore though.

Having worked with DEM's for a train simulator it isn't actually that easy to be fair :P, Needs good conversion and to get decent resolution you need to pay as the free NASA stuff isn't as good as they make out!

Lmao Copper he's gonna kill you. I was thinking of some ideas myself. I'll put something on the table once a reasonably good suggestion comes to mind.

Oh, now there's an idea. That'd be pretty neat. I mean I have one that I give to friends to install YS with what I have but I mean, that would also technically be selling YS so, we'll put it on the white board.

Selling of the YSF name is a definite no go for any reason.

True Stingx but only if Soji is willing.A couple of people in the past have tried to market YSF by passing it off by another name and we handed there heads to them on a platter and banned them in perpetuity.

Or it could just have a script that, when inserted into a computer, would take the user to the download page to get YSF, and then a second script that could automatically install a select number of addons to the user-installed YSF.

Just flew the newest test version of YS 2015/02/26.For me not so great in the openGL 2 version.Soji no longer has the specular shading and the airplanes look flat and without any definition to them terrible. Everything is way to dark the clouds in GL 2 are all way to dark like thunder clouds. The problem when using instruments with the big color mask block obscuring the artificial horizon still persists in GL 2.And in all versions the 100 mile radar range is no longer available only goes to 50 miles. But he got the colored smoke right this time as if I really care.Soji PLEASE,PLEASE reinstate the specular lighting for openGL 2 at least.I don't care if the ground reflects light and looks hard because it does and it is:!:

The 100 mile radar thing is . . . quite a problem actually.

Yeah it is. Super useful and actually simulates what a. Normal fighter or airliner should be able to see...

Hi again you all, it's been a long since I got into ysflight! Im glad to see all the new coming features, textures on rectangles and Dem terrain gen. etc etc....Everything is cool, I only wish somebody will code a sound plugin to fade engine noise, because my old one (i think i downloaded from electric world? gac? idk) doesnt work on 2015 test version. That's the only bad point, otherway Ysflight is growing very cool.

And a second question, plz about Grigor's grid generator: why, no matter which bitmap i load in the program, do I get this?? :?:
No way to get that work for me! I need that tool! I tried to set a mall number of grids, with b&w pics, and both of Grigor's version, but i always obtain the same thing. Can you guess why?
(Ps: is there a way to draw roads on elevation grids?)

I'm pretty sure I still have the old one Sting. I'll upload it when I get home in 2 or so hours.
