He also mentioned the opengl v/ YS would perform faster. I hope this is the case with the textured clouds, since they tend to lag most. From what it appears, colored smoke looks like it'll still be limited from in-flight changes, but it will be allowed individual colors per disperse point. Ground textures is a good idea. Not sure how it'll work and affect gameplay (grass template anyone?) but it's a start.

Has anyone suggested him our hatred towards shiny ground? I really hope it's off the next stable release.

Hah! Like he'd care. After all of the times we have suggested fixes of bugs and recommendations of special features and improvements, I'm pretty sure it'll still be shiny ground. Don't worry, i hate it too.

There is an issue with saving replays and playing them again to do formation flying. We must let him know about it.

I believe there is a bug report topic. I think that is the place to put it, and then email the contents of the report to Soji

Im totally agreed with that because like other flight simulators such as Microsoft FSX,X-Plane and Infinite Flight, they really use ground pictures from satellite imageries as ground textures and maybe we can use Google Earth as the texture......
and I also hope YSFlight can be bring to a new platform which is Android,iOS and Windows 8 Tablet which use gyroscope for controlling and should probably can compete with X-Plane and Infinite Flight and why I said this because nowdays many people use flight simulator app from smartphones rather than laptop and computer and if you go to Infinite Flight blog, many VA are recruiting the pilots and probably have many members than ours and the multiplayer that costs a few bucks also very popular that people always sacrifices their money for months cause they have cost 5 dollars per month and 50 dollars for a year and I think that I a waste of money and we must take the chance to make the most comprehensive and free flight simulator that people can enjoy it wherever we going whether PC,MAC,Linux or Android and iOS......

yesterday,I've seen some guys from the FSX on my Facebook gives negative reaction for YSFlight....they also mentioned that the YSFlight is just low quality and now fun to fly with....more dishonorable, they said YSFlight is just a game not a simulator....
probably we need someone to release the textured maps earlier and show them a lesson..... :(

We are not catering to the FSX types, nor do we really want to.
Also, this is completely free. The entire system is free. Unsure how somebody can complain about something free.

The only thing we sell is that it is free, and it's a sandbox, fun "game". We know it's not a true simulator.

Textures are not what matters. It is a FLIGHT simulator. It simulates flight. If I was interested in scenery that was complex enough to crash my computer I would go fly in real life. It's not a tree and grass simulator. Yes, nice scenery is cool and all, but its more about how you simulate flight and the different procedures throughout the flight that is important, not as much in terms of going sight seeing in a Cessna 152 from your computer screen.

I spent many years on FSX, and let me tell you - the community on FSX sucks. There are some good parts about it, example, VATSIM, but for the most part it really is just not that impressive. And FSX is old and out of date. X-Plane will make it look like how they look at YSFlight within the next year, if they don't already.

Hold your head up high and be proud of what you've got and the community we have! Its better than any FSX community I have ever been a part of.

The fact that everyone thinks they are the elite is what cracks me up. Most of them are just kids who have no idea what they're doing either way.

Agreed Av8tor most of them wouldn't know a pitot tube from a petcock control valve. And my use of the term elitist was pure sarcasm ;)

I bet I can fire more missiles than you, Bruh....

I think Soji is always trying to implement new features and fixes to the physics of the program. That was the initial goal of this program. To provide an accurate simulatiion of flight physics and flight instrumentation.

Of course what can you do when you have floods of emails from kids wanting nuclear bombs in the sim.

I see this on Facebook that X-Plane will change the iOS X-Plane 9 to X-Plane 10....
[BBvideo 560,340]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ueubafnSWSo[/BBvideo]
the aircraft, scenery and ground objects is still doesn't matter but I hope that the HUD can be repositioned to specific object like the F-22 and F-18(except for Eurofighter cuz it uses HUD in their helmets)and maybe can change the explosion rendering plus with the landing lights can be seen to the ground...I also hoping that the plane wreckage in multiplayer would be falling to the ground but didn't interupting the player access...
