[PACK] Grigor's Planes

Post by Grigor »

[mod=Grigor's Planes][previmg]http://k.min.us/jb3S31DLN.png[/previmg]
[moddesc=http://min.us/mMwVER4Rz]Grigor's Planes:

I've decided to put all my releases into a single package, under the folder User/Grigor/ to keep everything tidy.

These are all fictitious planes, all my own designs except for (in part) the A-10 TVC. All make use of thrust vectoring to achieve outstanding manoeuvrability, part of an ongoing quest for "the perfect plane".

You may use and redistribute this package as you wish, do your own repaints, modifications, etc AS LONG AS YOU GIVE ME CREDIT FOR THE ORIGINAL DESIGN.

Have fun with it, guys.

Grigor.

September 22nd 2011:
Created an air_Grigor_Supplement.lst to include old versions of the XF-57 and other variants.
Also includes the legendary F-103 Thunderwarrior.

August 29th 2011:
Updated the package to fix the A-10 rudder and canopy issues, also simplified some of the collision .srf's. Some work done on the FA-57 (my current favourite plane) and a new FA-57SV with internalised weapons pod and decreased radar signature.[/moddesc]

Nice work.

I noticed a few problems on the A-10. The canopy is only visible from one side, meaning when it's open it's invisible, and the grey and black section that I think is supposed to move with the it is stationary. The rudders also move the wrong way...

Gotta say though, the A61's control panel is pretty damn cool...

I gotta admit the A-10 TVC is almost like a modified, modernized, almost futuristic cheatplane but like its "like" ancestor its still stalls easily. :)

The rest were fantastic so far.
Like what Waspe414 said the A61 rock. The detail is just amazing.

So mostly everything is awesome except for the cockpit canopy problem in the A-10 TVC.

The A-61 is like futuristic, rudderless, thrust-vectoring Eurofighter Typhoon and the dat is so much similar to the dat of FA-57 and the FA-58 Spectre.

The A-10 is futuristicly awesome too.

This Thrust-vector planes will rock the house.

And yes my review is long so i'll just give this for every flyer knows its Awesome :)

Cockpit? I never bothered with the opening cockpit thing, obviously. Feel free to fix it.

As for the A-10's rudders... OOPS!

Just replace the last bit of the .DNM with this until I can fix it:

Only thing more powerful than an A-10 strike force? A combination of these bundles of BADASS.

It appears the download links to this pack, and Grigor's Planes II, are gone. While it is generally bad to bring an old topic back to life or to post a request, these packs were popular at the time of their release. Does anybody have them available to share them?

I actually asked the same question in a request topic earlier and got a link to all of them. Lemme go digging and I'll edit this post accordingly with the link once I find it.

EDIT: I found the topic and the post with the pack. Here it is: viewtopic.php?p=102827#p102827
