The Grob G109B is a self launching motor glider built by Grob Aircraft AG of Germany in 1984.
Up until 2018, the aircraft saw extensive service with the UK Royal Air Force to train Air Cadets in gliding induction and scholarship programs through many Volunteer Gliding Squadrons across the country. I am also fortunate to have been given the opportunity to fly this aircraft.
Aircraft handling notes
This aircraft features air brakes instead of flaps. Final approach speed is 65 knots controlled with the air brakes.
