Well I'm sorry guys... but... Space Engineers took control of my life... I have no better reason I feel really bad but can't... stop... playing... Worst part is I recently said to bombcat that I wasn't leaving YS anytime soon

However I can tell you guys that I am certain to come back to YS, I really like the game and the community. I will not be far, still lurking around and I will be attending the airshows. These are just too awesome!
So that means that no more racing is coming up in the near future and YSRS will go down shortly. It has never been popular anyway.
Cya soon guys!

I quit playing YSF weeks ago. Months, maybe. Too much GTA Online. It hasn't stopped me from playing YSF.

What you need a a second computer so you can do them both at the same time.

I haven't properly played YS in months...
Just come in and out like the rest of us.
Come for the game, stay for the people.
I am an accountant working full-time (and some). I'm not here as often as I would like to be. Send a message if you need me. There are a few people in the community who can get in contact with me urgently if you need - don't be afraid to ask. I just don't check here as frequently as I used to. Sorry!

OMG what have I said... I just got my Saitek x52 and combat rudder pedals working this morning. I received it for Christmas and after weeks of back and forth with customer service I kinda lost hope... but this morning... I got them working (don't ask why, stupid driver things, I'm bad lol)... And they work like a charm in YS (still has problems in Star Citizen tho), so you guys are right, I'm not leaving very far for very long.
So what I'm gonna do is I'll just take a break of the racing for now and I'll hop on servers every once in a while until I come back for good with more racing stuff. In the meantime I think I will keep the server running. It doesn't cost me to do so anyway.
Sorry for that nearly useless post (I did feel it was needed to say where I was in the last weeks tho)
Cya in the skies!

I guess I'm just weird, I've been playing for about 4 years and the biggest break I took was about 3 months. YS is just more addictive for me I suppose. lol
Anyhow, congrats on the stick, hoping to see ya back soon.

For 2 years my only time in YS was in the The Person Below Me thread. It's hard to stay away.

I'll see you soon Mobiyus. You should hop on the 171st server and do some dogfighting or co-op air to ground missions with me, Copper, Loldude, possibly NightRaven Stingx, Bombcat, Doomsday, Midnight Rambler, Welshy, Raavan, Greenhorn, or anybody for that matter who comes on. That will count as 171st training and no worries, just have fun; you don't have to be all that serious

. Ive been playing with Copper for a long while now and it counted as training. Im improving and so will you.

New circumstances arose that made me even less avalaible. And legitimate this time.
I got a friend who lost his job and got kicked out of his home. For the last week or so I have been offering him a shelter in my small 3 room appartement (he sleeps on the couch). His search for a job is the priority over gaming and it's monopolizing the computer (which is totally fine and necessary) and when time for gaming does comes, I split it with him (he's also addicted to Space Engineers now). This situation will last at least one more month, maybe two.
I'm not much the kind of guy to open up my emotions and all, but I gotta say that this situation is uncormfortable and stressing me the hell out. I'm not so sure I'm helping him, he's the kind of guy who's always in troubles (financial troubles). He's a very good guy though, nice, generous and honnest. But I feel like it's a temporary solution, I'm giving the guy a fish, but he needs to learn fishing...
Thank you for reading and sorry for my absence. I WILL come back regulary to YS eventually.

Are you sure he's not downloading cat videos and sending snap chats all day?
Do you tell him you know somebody hiring and he never follows up?
Did he recently spend all his money on a barely-running buick?
Does he go with friends on 1200 mile road trips on weekends?

Been there done that. And helping is never a bad thing as long as you remember you are your own priority. And do not be flexible with his deadline for getting a job.I have found that even the best well meaning job seekers will take advantage if you waffle on the deadline.Honestly he may leave as a friend or he may not.But at some point he has to leave if only for your own well being. There is being a friend and there is being an enabler the choice is yours.Good luck to your friend and to you as well.
