(possibly) my last post

Post by Darkwalker6 » Sat Nov 19, 2016 1:58 am

recently, i accidently said something offensive without thinking on the VFA-49th server. i don't want to tell you what i said because then everyone will think i am idiotic, even though you probably already think that. i won't tell you who it offended either because that will cause even more community outrage against me. i deeply regret saying what i said and i am sorry for saying it. i am going to go inactive on YSFlight and YSFHQ for 5 days, and then check back on this post to see if any of you want me to stay in YSFHQ. there were 6, 7, or 8 people on the server at the time, and i want to ask those people to please not tell anyone what i said or who i offended. i know how disappointed you are about me. goodbye for now, or maybe forever.

Whatever happened probably isn't as bad as you think it was, and the reaction was probably over exaggeration. Take a few days to calm the waters and come back and apologise personally if you think you need too.

I don't know what happened, but IMO apologizing and admitting your mistakes is a good start for almost any situations. Hopefully it wasn't too major.

Dude - You may have irked the 49th on that bit, but that shit doesn't faze me.

I've been involved with GamerGate crap for two years on. I talk shit with the people who've said that kinda shit and then some and laughed with em. I'm not upset in the slightest, however, there are other things I'm livid at, but that's not for this.

That's what sets us at GrunSol apart from the rest to me, we talk shit about ourselves and others, and diss the 49th behind their backs, but at the end of the day we laugh it off and move on.

Darkwalker, as one of your superiors this isn't something we're going to kick you out for. You've owned up to what was said and that earns you points in just about anyone's book. Besides, this is a first offense so there it doesn't warrant anything more than a friendly reminder to just think before you type.

What is said is said. if people feel offended. all you can really do is just apologize. hopefully in the end, people are all chill with each other.

None of my business but if you've apologized to the individuals there's nothing much you can do, but don't let that keep you from being happy. If you wanna stay, stay.

I personally don't take much to heart, and If I do I just suck it up and laugh it off. You can't live your life shaded from the harsh world.

Thank you all for not being angry at me. I was honestly expecting to see people wanting me kicked out, but now that I look back at it, I guess I did overreact a little bit. I'm also glad a little humor could be made out of this, because that lets me know that people aren't taking this too bad. I will be on YSFlight ASAP, and I will delete this post in about a day so this doesn't become a clickbait post, or, I could leave it here for an example of how the YSFlight community responds to these kind of things. Tell me if I should leave it here or not. :D

It looks like this has been resolved to everyone's satisfaction with about as happy of an ending as possible, so I will lock it.

I believe, as it has been - it should be locked, so that there is a good example of how people should act when these things happen. We should forgive our fellow pilots, lest we become heartless.
