The new united livery is now on some of the larger aircraft. I'm not 100% behind the new livery, but it has it's merits. I like the swoosh but the color of the globe look a bit off to me.
Here's what the new 777 looks like:
And the old 777 for reference:

I actually really like it. It's a nice refresh. The swoop feels just a bit awkward to me though

I really like it. I got to see one take off at Paine Field a month or two ago.

Meh, it's alright. Nothing to write home about, but better than just Continental in disguise.
None of the modern UA liveries comes close to the original tulip livery though:

Now THAT, is a great livery.
The "Tail Spear/Gold Stripe" livery with the bare-metal belly comes in a close second for me:

Hey Turbo, your second image link is wrong. But yes, I do agree that the original livery looks AMAZING. I believe the new 777 I saw took off on 12/23/19, right after a Swiss 777-300 being delivered to Zurich. Is this what you were referring to in the second image?

I know it's a model, but it's pretty close. I like that one better than the original livery, I think. N7001U, a 727 in that same livery, is close to me at the Museum of Flight at Boeing Field. I should go back there!

Yeah that fade at the top of the Vertical Tail sure looks like a painter's challenge.

Whoops, I thought I linked the right image, thanks for the correction though. Yes, that's the one I was referring to, though that model does not have the gold stripe. Here is a much better photo of N17001U than the one I saw yesterday anyway:

There's something very cool about that livery, it's simple yet is has that "jet era" feel about it. Are you saying UA has a retro jet in THOSE colors? That would be fantastic if I could spot that.
