Addons should be reasonably priced.

I have a feeling I'm going to need to buy another 1TB SSD in the next month or so...

Unless it is a subscription service, in which case I'll pass. I will not pay a monthly fee to play a game.

I suspect it will have a subscription cost due to the server and network load for transferring scenery to users, though they may have a costless offline mode where you can download small regions.

I've heard it has an "offline" Earth map with lower details, so I assume that means something along the lines of FSX.

But really... A 150 GIGABYTE INSTALL?! My 1TB hard drive sweats at the prospect. This new MSFS ought to destroy FSX in every category simply to justify such an excessive size.

You know, at 150 GB, it would take me nearly a week to download, and while my computer meets the "recommended" specifications, my bandwidth is on the "minimum" specification list. I'll never forget that it took 48 hours to download GTA V when it was 79 GB. Outside of large urban areas, half the country has very low bandwidth or no internet options at all. I don't think a lot of people know that about America.

I hate to break it you guys but 150GB isn't exactly a big game these days, hell I've had bigger FSX installs!

This thing only has a few airports. 30 airports for the $60 version. It looks great, but where is the value? Am I missing something? Who cares about major airports? FSX has the entire world with most airports that existed when it was made and the ability to easily change them or add newer ones. I don't get the attraction of the new simulator. Pretty lights?

Edit:
This review seems to suggest there are much more than just 30 airports. I'm as lost as last year's Easter egg.

Edit2:
So apparently the airports per package are "highly detailed" airports and the rest are more generic, so that's good to know. I had to get the tweezers out of my Swiss Army Knife (hopefully with a screwdriver) to make sense of The Verge's article.

Edit3:
I also found references to a "boxed" version that will contain the game on a series of DVDs and it will work without an internet connection.
