It is a gear, and if you can figure out the maker, you don't have many choices as to what aircraft it might be.

Zak, please at least look for a picture of the plane you are guessing to see if it is remotely related.

It's not a dc-3, have a look at what other people have guessed ;)

It is old, it has wings, a cockpit, a pilot, fuselage, rudder, elevator, and it can fly.
