Wooooot lots and lots of planes spotted today downtown at Burke gearing up for CNAS 2011!!

Pair of A-10s from Warthog East
Thunderbirds Arrival and Practice!!! (They circled around downtown in line for a while it was pretty cool)
Kent Peitsch interview and arrival
Jason Newburg Arrival Pitts SC2
John Klatt Extra 300 Arrival and Practice (Stole the show or stole the "Day" rather  )
Coast Guard Dolphin Arrival and Patrol
A LOT OF PLANES FOR STATIC
And........The Loud-ass F-4 Phantom participating in the Heritage Flight and doing a demo scared me to death upon entry from Hopkins Airport I litterly pulled a muscle slapping my ear trying to cover it! Like it was that LOUD. Soo yeah aviation filled day today got a bunch of autographs as well! I informed John Klatt about this community and he was very impressed :D

A really low flying Blackhawk went over, couldn't hear the damn thing until it went over the school.

Pretty much one of every type that flies out of Heathrow. Mainly as I was at Thorpe Park, plane spotting when I wasn't on a coaster/trying to stop my head spinning.

If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones. "

Yesterday we had a FAF Mirage F1CR, Mirage 2000D and RAF 11Sqd Typhoon FGR4...(all diverted since they were low on fuel after coming back from Libya) and a Slovak Gov Tu.154

Today we had a FAF Mirage 2000D which has a broken re-fuel probe and a FAF Mirage 2000N....diverted after coming back from Libya. Also we had a DC-3 today which is a pretty rare sight at LMML

Well, apart from the planes that fly over all the time, the interesting things:

VH-60 (HMX-1 or the DC Guard... not sure) flew right over me while I was on the Wilson Bridge driving to Andrews to pick up a friend.

Said friend arrived in a KC-135, and apart from the other KC-135's on the tarmac, I saw KC-130's, MC-12's, C-135's, C-32's, C-37's, HH-65's, EA-6B's, a Kuwaiti A319 (check FB), a Russian Il-62 (check FB), and, of course, the VC-25 hangar doors were open :) . I got lost trying to find the AMC passenger terminal, so I drove all over the west side of the field trying to find it. Turns out it's right next to Base Ops and the control tower. Go figure.
