To answer Honey Badger's question, they actually do still use the old livery. I go down to this small park at the threshold of Runway 24r at LAX once a month or so, and I occasionally see the old livery. I also read an article in Airways magazine once where it said that a retired Lufthansa 737-500 flew to Gary/Chigaco Airport, which is only general aviation, to get scrapped. Also saw a FedEx 727 going into Van Nuys. Also being scrapped? I heard FedEx is phasing out their noisy 727s.

Hmm, there's two FEDEX 727s at my local airport. They stay there for a couple days to swap cargo then fly over somewhere (not sure where) then return a day or two later. Same for a UPS 757. They're the biggest aircraft there; the rest are usually CRJ700s. They're extending the main runway (they have three) to accommodate aircraft reaching the size of a 747, I think. They are also going to move to cargo aircraft to a new, under construction Tarmac. We only have 4 jetways so I'm not sure if they plan on expanding over into the old cargo area (it's on either side of the terminal) and get more, larger traffic. I hope so, cause I want to report more interesting aircraft than the 1 or more 700s right now.

About 6 o'clock this morning 2 F-16's, then about 20 minutes later 3 UH-60's in succession about half-mile apart.

you got an idea as to the bearing? (tempted to try to guess route, guess at NNW).

this is by putting Cambridge and Scampton on the same map to see where they are.

I'm in Norwich at the moment - sorry I forgot to update my profile. We often get F-15's over here on the way back to Lakenheath, I've seen a few this morning already. :)
