A RAAF Wedgetail 737 AEW&C - it flew over our airport and nearly looked like it was going to land, but then it circled around, climbed and took off to the NW.

Image

We also had a chartered Fairchild Metroliner 23 come in - they're a really bizarre but awesome looking aircraft - the hull is thin like a pencil, but it has propellers so large that it has to sit like 2m off the ground just so it's props wouldn't strike the tarmac (and even at that height, they only spin about 30cm off the ground).

approx 45 seconds ago I saw a dark military green heli passing by. Probably a government flying service heli, or a PLAAF Mi-8. Honest, I don't know. Oh-it's passing by again. Managed to take 2 blurry pictures. Will upload them later...

Spotted a Sukhoi-30 MKI at Pune IAF airbase, India... Usually spot it every other day (atleast one advantage of living close to an airport). It really is a beauty ;) ..... and a beast too. Image

My ears are still ringing after this GR4 pass, 150ft directly overhead, wing swept, 600MPH and a distinctive smell of AVGAS! 8-)

Woah....these pictures are superb!

I saw three F-16's in formation heading out towards the west today. All three of them broke the sound barrier at around the same time which caused most of the inhabitants of Lahore to wake up (it was 2 AM at that time).

I think I just saw an AN-124 or maybe it was an IL-76.

Currently moving to a neighborhood that is on base leg for two completely different runways. I have a feeling I'll be doing a lot of plane spotting and picture taking and video filming soon... ;)

Since I live in Chicago, the NATO Summit came to town. The past 2 days I didn't see jack squat.

But today I witnessed a mid-air refueling between a KC-135 and an F-16 from a party I was at. They were flying pretty high but I seen the KC-135 pretty well. The F-16 was a small dot and both had contrails. I remember it breaking off around the 3rd flyby. It was roughly 25K - 30K high. Best day of the year so far!(besides prom,Turnabout, musical opening night, winter play .............................nevermind)

last week I had a school trip to guilin. There and at chep lap kwok I spotted:
Many 737-800s
A Singapore Airways A-380
A Emirates A-380
2x Finnair A-340
2x Cathay Pacific Boeing 747-8F (none in the "Hong Kong Trader livery tough... :( )
1x British Airways Boeing 747-4
1 x A-319 (I think)
1x UPS 777 (took a picture of it's touchdown!)
1x Air France 777
1x Cathay Pacific 777
3x Cathay Pacific A-330
1x Dragonair A-330
1x China Southern A-320
1x unknown aircraft (looked like a boeing 747 cockpit with Dc-10 tail-with no wings-was probably used to practice fighting fires)
I saw more, but I can't be bothered to type...

I saw a PLAAF Mi-8 go right over our school about 400 ft up. Also a bunch of Mi-8s going over my house, about 3 of them traversing back and forth over my house.

Most Helis I've seen in 1 Day.

Also when I went to Beijing, I spotted 2 dragonair A330-300's, 1 MD-80 (woohoo!), and about 60-70 other planes at HKIA and BCIA.

I saw one of these:

on the night of my return. It was all lit up by the floodlights at Super Terminal 1 (our A330-300 passed close to the cargo area upon taxiing to HKIA terminal 1). It was the same plane I had seen from above when I went to Manila.

Is it just me, or did I just see a J-20 fly by?

Odds are it was just you, as I doubt they would fly anything this new out of there.

I saw a BA 747, and heard a low flying helo (behind other houses, so really low.

You're right, I confused a PAF J-10 with a J-20.
