During lunch time, I saw a 747 and two F/A-18s fly right over my school.

Oh, and also the space shuttle.

Funny, I saw that fly right out of the Space Center. I watched it depart on the massive 747-200 while on the beach. The perks of living in Cape Canaveral.

Aircraft I spotted today, MV-22. Sorry no picture, I wasn't expecting to see it, the airshow is tomorrow, so I will have a whole list later.

Goddamnit Philster. Did you see it in person? Because for some reason the shuttle didn't fly over the San Fernando Valley up north by Van Nuys airport, so I had to settle with watching NBC 4 during 4th period history. I regret not taking the day off. In science we just stood outside for a whole hour waiting for the shuttle but it never flew over.

Maybe I'll take a trip to the science center soon.

I have been seeing quite a variety of aircrft the past few days with northerly winds, when inbound aircraft to Tinker AFB usually fly over my area (pretty low too). Including a few Hercules (one of which was a Gunship), the usual AWACS and Tankers, a few Hornets and then the daily Fedex heavy from MEM (either a 313 or a 306).

My general rant: I will call them blended winglets, not Sharklets; There is no CEO, it's just simply put, an Airbus 319/320/321, or the 320NEO, 321NEO etc. I didn't land IN DAL, I landed AT DAL. On the other hand, I did land in Dallas.

An F-7 broke the sound barrier above Lahore today. I heard it when I was at school and I saw it from the classroom window. Must have been pulling at least 4 G's with that kind of turn.

Truckload of heli's this week. We're having a simulated war here on my region, called ''Operation Amazônia'', and there were a lot of transport helicopters here, with some Russian made stars. List:
12x AH-2 Sabre (Brazilian AF. These are actually are brand new russian Mi-35M)
1x Mi-8 (Civilian, of the Air Taxi company Omni Air)
2x Bölkow BO-105 (Also from Omni)
1x Sukhoi Su-30MK2 (Venezuelan AF)
2x Embraer A-29 Super Tucano (Brazilian AF)
2x C-105A (Brazilian AF)
And also a few light civilian aircraft, and the usual Police Chopper, which is an Eurocopter AS350 Ecureuil II.
This was the very first time I've seen a russian aircraft flying, and wasn't really special 'cause it just made a far away pass, (like every other aircraft above) and I could only see it through my binoculars.

M4ve That's cool, I saw in the newspaper that the Brazilian government will take other measures like this to stop the illegal deforestation of the Amazon.

lucas, yes, not only the deforestation, but also to stop illegal light aircraft from entering our airspace. These light A/C many times invade our airspace carrying drugs, stolen TV's, and things like that, illegal stuff. They also send A-29 Super Tucanos to bomb clandestine landing strips.

Oh, and I also saw an Federal Police UAV and a high flying, contrailing A340. I believe it was from Aerolineas Argentinas.
