Wow. How many are out there? An acquaintance of mine just came back from overseas. But the NG C130s stayed over with the California ones too.

Anywho this beautiful fella landed last week but was busy clearing for him so couldn't snap a pic of it landing.

Very well kept!

Let's see, aircraft I spotted today at OUN, in the outdoor observation area just outside the small terminal:

- 3 Beechcraft Super King Air 350s
- About a dozen Cessna Citations (Sovereigns, IIIs, Vs and possibly a X)
- Some Westwind 24s
- A Gulfstream I
- Some King Air 90s
- A Bombardier Challenger 300
- A Falcon 7
- Several Learjets (45XRs and 75s)
- An Embraer Phenom 100
- Some Pilatus Turbos
- Some TBMs
- A couple Piaggio Avantis
- Several more smaller aircraft like Mooneys, Pipers, a couple 172s thrown in just for kicks (ok, not just for kicks, they came in for the OU-Ohio State game but you get the idea)

To add to the excitement, a storm went up northwest of Norman and started putting out plenty of CGs. To say it was awesome just standing outside with aircraft landing and bolts of lightning in the distance would be an understatement. When I left OUN to go back home, there were about 30 or so business aviation aircraft of all shapes, sizes and ranges sitting on the ramp in front of the terminal and on the secondary ramp to the southwest of the terminal (well over a billion dollars of aviation I saw up close and personal). They had to move all of the OU Flight School Piper Warriors and Cessnas into hangars (I presume) to make way for all of the arriving jets and props. On my way back home (I live about 10 minutes from the airport), I was still seeing aircraft arriving over the city. What a great day! :D

IMAGES FOR ILLUSTRATION PURPOSES ONLY

I usually whip out my phone too late, so I just enjoy the planes flying over.

Went to college to meet up with friends for lunch, spotted:

X2 Firefly ATRs
X1 Raya Airways 757 (Might have been the same one I spotted some time ago)
X1 C130 (I reckon it's RMAF but I was driving home and couldn't spot markings)

I saw a C-130 as usual, and several Black Hawks. Also, there was an aircraft which looked like Mirage F-1, but there should be no Mirages flying in California...

I guess it could be F-104...
The A380 is ahead of its time. With the resilient passenger traffic growth for times to come (reference from Airbus's Global Market Forecast), plus congested airports, the A380 could not be ignored.

Saw this Chinook later flying with the Singapore flag hanging from its fuselage.
+ 6x F-15SGs taking off from Paya Lebar Air Base for the parade rehearsal. Too far away for a decent shot tho :(

Didn't get photo's, but the CWH Lancaster was doing its rounds in Niagara Falls yesterday. Plus the MD 500C's from the Niagara Falls Helo Tours on their side were pretty busy yesterday as well

Since the hurricane I've seen the Hurricane Hunter C-130, a few Blackhawks, Seahawks, two Apache Deltas, numerous Chinooks, MD-500s (police units), a couple of MH-53M Pave Lows, Coast Guard and ICE C-130s, both LifeFlight EC-145 and just one helicopter I could not identify. Possibly another EC-145 but could not see where it was headed nor livery it had.

I saw this last week, but forgot to post. I think it was a Beechcraft Baron. Up and right of the TV antenna.

A pair of F/A-18 Hornets flew over the job site today as well as yesterday. Nothing like the feeling that goes through you when you're looking down and suddenly the sound of your skill saw is drowned out by fighter jets. :D

Here are a few shots from my phone when I was in Orlando that I felt were worth sharing. Nothing crazy, but pretty interesting when you're used to seeing Southwest & Delta jets all the time.

Image

Both the British Airways & Virgin Atlantic jets were heading out to London.

Really cool to spot this TAM jet, glad I caught it at the time I did.

On the other hand, just a few days ago I'd spotted what seems to be a UH-1 over my house. It was coming in and then dropping altitude, just on the other side of the treeline, and then taking off again and heading out the direction it came. It did this about 3-4 times throughout the day, and I've yet to figure out what the reason was. I live about a minute away from Indianapolis Regional, so this was a pretty unusual sight for this area.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFmSOSeX5xg Four Chinnook's returning to RAF Benson. About an hour before, six of them and three Merlin's flew over! They were in formation, and going the other direction.
Fliped out of the arena, again! :(

IIRC They're going flypast preparations which would explain why the whole RAF seems to have increased its activity
