I seriously doubt that. "Free to play" online games are the way of the future, but only because they are really so profitable. Trust me. I've been playing NFS:World for a year and a half. It's a great game, but would not be wroth the download had I not spent $25 buying extras. There are a few dozen free cars, but you can only own three at a time. To own more than three cars, even free cars, you have to buy more slots in your garage. Or you can spend anywhere from five to eighty dollars to buy cars that will actually win races. Some of those cars are unrealistically fast, while the free cars are often unrealistically slow.

My point is, that is the direction all game companies are headed. Realism doesn't sell. Why sell your product to a very limited number of people who happen to be pilots or fans of aviation when you can market your product to the general public who get all their information about aviation from what they see in movies and on TV?

Do you know what would be awesome? YS Flight online, completely in your browser. Would be kind of laggy, though. You would need to use Java or something. erict15 might know.

Complete crap. All you have is the Icon A5 by default and if you get it from Games for Windows Live or whatever (I got it from Steam), you get a free PT-17 Stearman. Whoop de do. The realism is pretty good though.

So you people may be thinking, now that Microsoft has ruined a perfectly good simulator series, what will it do next?

not really. if they wanted to become TF2, they would change their marketing strategy to conist of a considerably large amount of hats.
But I do wish they removed the shooting part of the game, it distracts you from the real objective of the game, collecting hats.
