PVC/foam Cockpit plans and pics.

Post by Honey Badger » Wed Feb 29, 2012 7:32 pm

Just found this today. A company called Roger Dodger Aviation is selling plans to make cockpits for flight sims out of PVC, foam, and plywood. Link: http://www.rogerdodger.net/diyflightsims.html

Find their youtube channel. They're designed for FSX, FS2004, and X-plane but I think we could use this for YS pretty easily. I'm going to make one for FSX eventually but I'd love to try it with YS as well. Post if you build one of these or something similar. Also, if you find something similar, don't be shy to share here!

You know, you could just get a little creative with google sketchup and build something yourself that would look a little more impressive to your date! :P

Built this awhile back. Many hours in that seat, for sure! If you're into precision flying, i'd recommend a center stick with both the throttle and the stick mounted at seat level. Even if you're not, the ergonomics sure are great! (This particular pit was built around measurements for the F/A-18 out of NATOPS.)

Looks good. I'd build something like this now if I could find a spot my parents were willing to let me do so. AKA, it ain't happening anytime soon.

i want this in my room. I'd get rid of this desk and do some rearranging for that. My mom would never care to say yes unless it wasn't gonna cost her anything and knowing it will, I'm not even gonna bother haha
