Damn you live close to me. My nearest airport/airbase is RAF Waddington [EGXW] as you well know by now.RAF Scampton is the closest airport to me, home of Red Arrows.

Runways are marked. Surprisingly, there is not a single airline that operates here. Instead, we are pretty much considered the unofficial testing grounds for Boeing's Everett, WA plant. If there was imagery from today shown, there'd be a 787 in Boeing house colors on the East end of the airport. It's getting a little engine tuning right now. Other "regulars" around here are C-17A Globemaster III's, P-3 Orions, and of course the latest and greatest from Boeing themselves. The facility to the South of the airport is Big Bend Community College, and they're famous for their aviation program.

This is THE place for either drag racing cars or getting your pilot training.
I couldn't actually find any pictures that didn't have cars in them though.
That's the runway.
That's the taxi way right besides the runway.

Max Westheimer Airfield in Norman, OK. It has two runways, the main runway is N-S while the other is NE-SW. It has several Fized Base Operators (FBOs), a small terminal and serves as thebase for The University of Oklahoma's Flght School. Not to mention the Governor's fleet of aircraft, which includes a Kingair. In terms of aircraft movements, it is one of the busiest in the state. It is also experiencing growing business jet/prop traffic. It is landlocked however so expansion of anything other than the ramp is out of question.
That's the GA airport, the main commercial airport is Will Rogers "World" Airport, coded OKC/KOKC. I don't know why the "World" is still in the name though, there's never been any solid international service and the closest we've had to that are seasonal charters back in the 90s-early 2000s to CUN. It has three runways, two parallels at 9,800 ft. X 150 ft and a crosswind at 7,500 X 150ft. Last year it handled about 3.56 milion passengers, and has an average of 75 daily departures. Not much but with 22 airports served nonstop, not too shabby. I guess people here just don't fly as much haha.

My general rant: I will call them blended winglets, not Sharklets; There is no CEO, it's just simply put, an Airbus 319/320/321, or the 320NEO, 321NEO etc. I didn't land IN DAL, I landed AT DAL. On the other hand, I did land in Dallas.

Hi! I make average, undesirable, boring grey maps for YS Flight!
