The General Dynamics F-111 Aardvark was also a large, two seat, swing-wing attack aircraft.

Tiger camo?

I too, like tiger camos...
You know why? Because they look good on fighter aircraft...
Like this Dassault Rafale, and various other NATO aircraft.

The Gripen uses the Volvo RM-12, a version of the General Electric F-404... Guess who uses it as well?

Which was originally designated as the F-5G, for Taiwan. It was derived from the F-5E.

And if I'm not to late for the F-16 subject... how many of you knew who had the original design for the F-16? Image

Smokewinders: a better way to make your aircraft demo 10x better without having to pump extra oil into the engines to produce smoke.
As being used by these F-16's
Image

EDIT: Huh, aside from the elevators, the design seems unchanged for the most part. Nice find.

One aircraft that also uses smokewinders is the MiG-29OVT, the MiG-29's toughened up brother, able to withstand up to 15Gs.

Another one that uses smokewinders is the eurofighter, but unlike others, it doesn't use them on the wingtips.

One of the Eurofighter's operators is the Spanish Air Force. This Air Force uses the oddly named Fokker F27 Friendship for patrol uses.

Fokker? Here's a Fokker - Fokker DR1, the same plane that was used by the legendary "Red Baron".

The Sopwith Camel. Why? Because it's the most well know bird for countering the DR1... and it's stupidly obvious... Image

The Sopwith Camel was designed by Thomas Sopwith, owner of the Sopwith Aviation Company. This company also produced the Sopwith Tabloid - which in it's Schneider version won the Schneider Trophy in Monarco 1914. Sorry for the low quality picture.

The Tabloid was (surprisingly to me) first test flown by Harry Hawker.Gee, I wonder what that man would become later on?

He later co-founded the Hawker Aircraft Company and built the Hawker Hurricane.

A Soviet aircraft with a similar role to the Hurricane was the Rogožarski IK-3.

Another aircraft to use the Hispano-Suiza HS.404 cannon was the United State's P-38 Lightning, albeit under a different name. Image
