Ah, okay. Seeing that we're now finally back on track. (thank goodness)

A light jet aircraft that is also being used extensively by an aerobatic team as well as a normal trainer for pilots for air forces around the world?
The French have their answer for that too in the form of the jointly built by Dassault/Dornier Alpha Jet.

Wait, I see a pattern appearing here.... Image Hrrmmm, not a clue.

Another jet demonstration team is the Russian Knights, which use the not-so-light but sexy 8-) Su-27 Flankers.

I present the Fokker G-1, which was powered by Wasp engines before being fitted with Mercury engines. (wasp and gnat both being bugs...)

Lockheed P-38 Lightning
The body of the previous aircraft is so similar to the P-38 it's not funny.

Speaking of unconventional designs, how about placing the inline engines in the middle of the airframe rather than the front?

The most famous example you'll get for the above question is the Bell P-39 Airacobra. It also uses the tricycle landing gear configuration like the Lightning (2 on the wings, 1 on the nose), which was unusual for it's time. A configuration that will only see widespread use during the arrival of the jet engine.

Breaking more barriers in unconventional designs, Bell also succeeded in the amazing X-1 which officially broke the sound barrier for the first time in controlled flight.

The ultimate speed record for manned flight is held by the X-15.

However, the X-15 doesn't hold the fastest manned air breathing speed record. That is held by the glorious A-12 Oxcart.

Even more faster is the Space Shuttle, which acts like an airplane when landing

Also rocket propelled, air launched like many X planes, ground breaking in its design, landing like a plane, BUT a heck of a lot cheaper than any of the government sponsored planes: Spaceship One.

Time to massively bump this topic which has been stagnant for 1 year and (almost) 3 months.

An aircraft that also had 2 engines, but utilised a push-pull system instead of pure pusher props was the Dornier Do 335.

Cessna is owned by Textron, who in turn (via Bell) made this bad boy (Well, Spjikers and Wingtips in SL made the model, but it's a Bell 429)

The Bell 429 is jointly made with Korea Aerospace Industries, which made South Korea's first indigenous supersonic aircraft: the T-50 Golden Eagle.

The T-50 Golden Eagle was a direct competitor of the Alenia Aermacchi M-346 Master, another Trainer/Light Fighter.

An Aircraft which shares a similar design is the French Dassault Rafale Fighter Jet.
