Anyone play FSX?

Does anyone on this forum play Flight Simulator X? I have FSX: Steam Edition. Also, I have Combat FS and FS2000, just FYI.

I personally don't. I prefer X-Plane 11 for civil aviation, but I'm not exactly in a position to say one is better than the other. I'm sure some of the more GA guys can make a good call on it.

Tip: You can ask questions like these (and your other threads) through the YSFHQ Discord Server. It's a lot easier, more active, and will keep the forum open for more YS related threads. Then again, you're technically posting in the correct category so it's all good. :?

I have FS9 on disk and FSX: Steam Edition. FSX looks great on modern equipment. I even made some map addons for FS9 and FSX, which are on my YSF scenery page.

I don't have Discord, sadly.

Or even just use the browser version...

Every now and again.

I usually am quite impatient, so I'm rocking the F/A-18 while doing IFR or VFR hops with it. I like to visit places all around Australia.

It's a lot of fun actually. I should do it again.

I only have the old version of FSX though - I need to buy the steam version so I can play online again.

Flying in a YS style Multiplayer experience is still possible, as are VATSIM, ICAO etc with their speyer clients such as squarkbox

I've used it, but the community isn't as vibrant.

Everyone is moving onto the steam version but for the die hards on the older version, and I wanna go have some fun with lots of people.

Not a lot of people play boxed FSX (Accel, Deluxe, Gold). Everyone's on Steam Edition.

I think you meant IVAO, Welshy. Pretty similar to Vatsim.

Also, Steam Edition Multiplayer does not work for me. It just will not work whatsoever. Same goes for all Steam games I have (Minecraft and YSFlight connect just fine). It's the reason why I didn't register with either Vatsim or IVAO.
