The weekend was cool and rainy (cold by late-April standards for the southern plains anyway). A nice warming trend is in store though towards the weekend, with highs in the mid-upper 80s returning, and even some low 90s for the area. Might even be some 100-degree readings in western and southwestern OK, unfortunately they have not recived much, if any, rain, so the fire danger returns there.

It's the official severe weather season in the plains, and it appears that today and tomorrow will be days to look out for. Right now we're under a tornado watch, temperature is 78 F with a 66 F dewpoint, and winds are from the SE at 20-25 mph. A dryline is out in western OK extending south, and there is good windshear today so very large hail is possible with any severe storm. Tomorrow we have the same threat but with possibly a greater tornado threat. Then hopefully another good round of showers and storms on Friday (we have already had three good rounds).

Yesterday our city got slammed by a heavy-duty severe storm with downburst winds of upto 70mph, a possible brief tornado, hail between quarter and ping-pong size and extremely heavy rain. Needless to say there has been quite some damage across the city, and considering 90% of the city was without electricity we were fortunate enough to still have it on despite all that. Numerous power lines were down, the University of Oklahoma campus had lots of tree damage also. Today, much calmer and a high of 93F. Yesterday we came close to the 100F mark. Hot temps will return again though over the weekend.

Cold, and very heavy rain, with strong winds. Horrible!

clouds, but very nice.

Last evening the sun was right behind a cloud, beautiful edge like a halo of sorts.

Hot here in CA. I am really disliking it. Plus, my dad's car's air conditioner broke.

It was 118 degrees outside yesterday, add some light wind and it made it worse.

^Wish we had some of that. Today will be the 19th day of consecutive 100F or hotter days in the Oklahoma City area. No relief is expected in any way, shape or form. Next week, we might have more tropical moisture coming in, which will help keep temps down into the upper 90s (yay 0_0) but with the increased dewpoints, it will be just as bad if not worse.

Frankly, I find this thread boring to read-especially when weather isn't being epic. I'm just wondering if it isn't starting to qualify as a space waster for upping post counts
