I just got a new cookbook for my birthday. It has a variety of Asian recipes: Thai, Japanese, Chinese, etc. which I am looking forward to trying :)

Today we will be serving the ho fun noodles with beef strips---although the name sounds a bit offish in English

I can make Pancit and Lumpia -those will be our specials for today.
The nice thing about the Philippines is that they properly appreciate pork

It's He Fin. Literally translated to "rice powder noodles". It's the really thick ones that trap up all the goopy sauce.

Next time you're in a chinese restaurant, ask for "sap chaw nao haw".

"Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones. "

What we can be sure of, is that the string of words, have no relation to each other, nor do they make a logical sentence. We can therefore, safely claim that these words, in this exact order have NEVER before ever been typed or said. This is the first time this sentence has ever been read or heard in the entire history of mankind.
