I just notalgia'd. Hard.

Please tell me someone other than Bombcat played this. I still remember the day my dad got it for me. We were in the mall and somehow I convinced him it would be a good investment (honestly, he liked buying me stuff like this).

Remember the first B-2 mission? Or how the bombs would kind of drag out behind the plane before dropping? Or how the missiles could lock onto something a million miles away? Or that you had to manually control the fucking tail gunner in a bomber? Or the animation of ejecting and thinking "damn, he's skinny"?

No? Just me?

Dammit.

Released 1996 - it's probably as old as a few people here.

"Missiles armed and hungry."
It's been ages since I've heard that, that certainly brings back memories.
The first combat flight sim I really got into was F/A-18 Korea Gold, on my iMac.
The intro was reused on PSF.

I remember playing Flight Sim 95, and my dad got some kind of expansion pack for it that had a YF-22 done up in Thunderbird colors. Dude, Chicago didn't know what the hell was going on.

Another favorite was Jane's first Su-27 Flanker. I specifically remember my dad's copilot (a good family friend) saying "pay close attention, cuz you'll have to be shooting those down one day". I was young and impressionable!

Haha. Personally my 90s game of choice was ea's strike commander for DOS and msfs 95.

Looking back on it, my dad only got me games to groom me for the military and being an astronaut. I mean, I can't complain: I loved it.
