What books/stories have you read lately?

Post by Seraphim » Fri Sep 23, 2011 1:45 am

I know we have a "best ever" books thread, but I thought we could use a thread to share which books, manga, fanfics, webcomics, we are reading or have read recently (like a "what are you listening to now" thread for books). After all not all books are going to be the best-but that doesn't mean they're not worth a read (or a helpful recommendation to avoid).

I recently acquired a kindle so I've been doing a fair amount of reading lately. I'm in the middle of reading "Little Women" just so I can check that off my list of free classics I've never read, and I just finished reading the first volume of the zombie apocalypse manga "Pandora: End of Days". Little Women is corny but Pandora is awesome-great artwork and a nice back story of ancient plagues to introduce the fabulous theme of a high school girl in New Jersey having to fight off a zombie pandemic.

Redwall by Brian Jacques. Very cool Middle aged themed book series. The characters are all animals, however.

One of 21 or 22 books total. http://www.redwall.org/

Castaways of the Flying Dutchman also by Brian (about people this time).
