Re: Origin of your username
The "MD5" part is a shortening of one of my old standby usernames: MegaDan5, while the "Ray01" part refers to my favorite entity from the game Custom Robo: the Ray 01 Robo.

Re: Origin of your username
I patterned the name after the constellation Monocerotis, which in Greek means Unicorn. I chose this name as my mother likes unicorns, coincidentally Beta Monocerotis is a triple star star system. I used this to represent my brothers and myself, as the system is fixed and all three stars move together. As a side note, V838 Monocerotis is actually a variable red supergiant star, which is one of the main stars that had an outburst recently, which my mother says "that's the mother star of the children stars around it", so I went along with it.
Monoceros is also a Squadron name in my story AirBuster: Trouble Specialty Raid Unit 2

Re: Origin of your username
All began in 2005, when i was 14 years old, in a city called São Paulo(which is the largest city of Brazil), my given name is Andrey, and my mom is Russian(she was born in Novosibirsky), and since i was a child, i had some accent, not to much, but i had, so people nicknamed me as "Russo", which in portuguese(the official language of Brazil) means "Russian Boy"(the female form of this word is "Russa").
And was in 2005 that three bands "joined" as a family, due the lyrics, someone suggested "Tragik", so the bands names remained the same, the only thing we've done was to include in our "war names" the "family name" of Tragik. My band was called "Die Einführung", but we were so awful that we never made a show outside our garages...
Ohhhh sweet memories!

However, I'm stubborn and insist that it better suits the name of a pilot

Re: Origin of your username
You forget that the SNES version of From Legend to Myth: Gradius III's version is called Vic Viper M.A.X. (just M.A.X. in non Japanese versions). Also some speculate that the ship is sentient and has no pilot (in some games).Vic Viper wrote:The Gradius Series on NES, SNES, and more recently PSP. Gradius III was one of the first tastes of SNES I had when I was 5 years old. Vic Viper is the main ship you go into combat with.
However, I'm stubborn and insist that it better suits the name of a pilot

Re: Origin of your username
I don't really recall the origin of my name here on HQ.
But I do remember my PSN/YS name (HawkbitAlpha) was dedicated to an old Battlefield 2 player named Hawkbit.

I thought it was because you was a boat boss.Skipper wrote:My name came from a book called "The Dreamwalker's Child", in which there is a young pilot (Who flies insects) called Skipper
Mine:
Vandal is a callsign used by the BEST squadron within the the RAF 617 Sqn.
I used to be known as Rawfodog back on YSP, before changing to Vandal (Also at YSP). If you never worked it out it, God of war backwards. But I changed it to an easier to pronounce username which I've enjoyed ever since and not prefer over my old username (JR likes my own username more). People kept calling me Raw-for-dog on TS and it annoyed me.

Re: Origin of your username
Originally I was going to play as Malnu123, but I didn't like having numbers in my username. Plus I used that for Club Penguin, didn't want to use that... My DeviantArt account is still Malnu123 though.
