In fact, Gimi and I live in a relatively sparsely populated region, so you get the feel of this place. However, most of HK is rugged mountains and open hills. (It boasts 2 nearly-kilometer high mountains, namely Lantau Peak and Tai Mo Shan (literally, "Big Hat Mountain").)
BTW Hong Kong is nearly twice Sydney's population and almost 20 times Canberra.
