Carl Sagan wrote:From this distant vantage point, the Earth might not seem of any particular interest. But for us, it's different. Look again at that dot. That's here, that's home, that's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

Fascinating. How do you manage to keep your fine wines so well aged?

I like to let in a cold draft from outside from time to time, particularly on the rieslings. Keeps em flavorful you know?

Oh, I hadn't thought of that. Gee halb you've outdone me again! That's pretty awesome that one of your houses is on the National Register of Historic Places!

The draft through my cellar won't nearly match yours--seeing as it is underground--but I like to think I do a better job at maintaining my wines than most.

Fascinating. Are you sure that isn't a historic location? Looks German. Do you worry that you'll lose your fine wines in a cave-in?

I win. Even though that's just a shitty way of ending a losing argument even if the comparison is 100% accurate. Like, this is in Canada, you know.
