The king of partying, complaining about noise. I'll make an extra low Thunderbird fly-over, you know, just for you.

Literally.
That would make more sense if you weren't the one who makes up the whole cupcake conspiracy. Don't be mad at me-you must have agitated the spirit of the forest so that his cupcakes come to haunt you on their own.

Also you all are so crazy and out of hand-I'm just going to serve tea and cookies in the cafe and relax.

DUDE! I used to live up in Bossier Parish up at the bomber base there and we had fried alligator and crawdads on a regular basis at base cookouts. That shit was good.

For anyone curious, it's a lot like rotisserie chicken (correct me if I'm wrong, Aragorn: it's been a while).

302 Ira Eaker Drive. I learned more about aviation history from the street names (both at Barksdale and at KI Sawyer, where they were named after bombers and attack planes) and driving through the 8th Air Force museum out towards the east side of base than from anything else in my life, I think. I would ride my bike down to the museum while my dad ran and he'd quiz me on all the planes. One time our family volunteered to help repaint the Vulcan (XM606, I think) and I was small enough to climb into the intakes and help paint :-) . We were there for four years. I remember one winter... I wanna say the winter of 1999-2000, we got, like, three inches of snow in a night, and the whole city shut down: couldn't even cross the damn bridge into Shreveport.

We moved there in 1998 after dad went to Air War College at Maxwell. He was part of the 8th AF stan-eval for a while before he commanded the 20th BS and later was d/cc of the 2nd Ops Group (acting while the cc was deployed). He got all sorts of medals and shit for turning the 20th around and they were the first combat squadron to deploy to Afghanistan. He was the v/cc of the expeditionary air wing there at Diego Garcia for a while, too. Got passed over for a star, though, since he wasn't particularly diplomatic (it runs in the family).

Small world.

But you know alligator meat is good too.

How about we serve weird things in the cafe today? Our main item is ostrich burgers as I'm quite fond of them.
