Uh...ok, I'll go to my school's library to test it out someday. See if the upload/download speeds change. Or something.

I always thought lag was based on server speed/processing...

Either way, my server is super duper fast and lag free, right?

Not really... Network coding is telling me that it's the packet routers that causes the lag. (TCP/IP is retarded, okay?)

Wanna know something? YSFlights netcode would work perfectly if it was UDP, and the game ignored old flight records (you know how your plane jumps backwards? the game should ignore that...)

Reading up on FSX framework, YSF is a lot better and easier to use coding wise.

Its funny... I can host a server on VSK with 25 people playing and have 0 lag.

Guess my biggest wish for YSF is to have UDP for network play. Would be the biggest update YSF could have. It'd also make it a lot more fun.

This is quite disproportionate. Seems like my school has got its priorities straight.

I wish I had that kinda speed. :D My school generally maxes out at about 12-15 Mb/s download speed. I'm not sure about the upload.

Btw; Flake & MR - I upgraded my internet plan; it's not any faster (my town is limited to 12mbps download / 1mbps upload - for the record, ADSL maxes at 8mbps, ADSL2+ maxes at 24mbps), but my download cap was increased...

Increased by a factor of 20; my cap is now 500GB for about $30 more than what we were paying before.

In case you're wondering though, I'm still with Telstra; we have a home phone and 2 mobiles with them already, and TPG doesn't do bundles out here, so Telstra is literally the cheapest service available here - not bad though for a place where you can earn $26/hr straight out of school, with no qualifications.

Seeing as it is advertised as 11mbps this is kind of sad.
