I have a Dell D430 laptop - I've had more powerful laptops that were crap (anyone with a Dell 1545 watch out the screen may fuck up by coming on hinges)

Intel Core Solo U1400 Processor (Santa Rosa, 1.2GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, Ultra Low Voltage) Brilliant CPU!!!! Truth their runs like a beast for something so small
Microsoft Genuine Windows XP Professional - -I have SP3
12.1" WXGA Display (1280 x 800)
2GB DDR2 533MHz RAM
80GB 4200RPM Toshiba 1.8" HDD
802.11a/b/g WiFi, Ethernet, and Modem
6-Cell 42Whr Battery
Dimensions: 11.6" W x 8.25" D x 1" H
Weight: 3.2lbs (with battery)

You can get special External Optical drives just for the model line but me dad brought a Media Dock home from work and its still light as anything - I never take it off :)

Depends on your motherboard and powersupply, but I love my AMD 6850. Very good price to performance.

Changed once again. I actually ordered this one so it wont change this time...
CPU: i7-3770 @ 3.4ghz
GPU: PC comes with GT 620 (sux) but I've ordered a GTX 470 separately.
PSU: No idea. Asus doesn't mention it any where...
RAM: 16GB 1600mhz DDR3 (total overkill XD)
HDD: 2TB @ 5400 RPM (again, no mention of any specific details or even a maker)
MOBO: No clue. 16GB of RAM is the limit, about all I know.
Optical Drive: Blu-ray/DVD+RW (XD)

All done for 1170 USD. Not too shabby. Research says I get 40+ FPS in FSX Totally maxed out with addons, bad weather, in NYC...and recording with Fraps/Bandicam, assuming I have everything set up right. That may be exaggerating a little, but a safe bet without Fraps recording. I bet it could run Crysis pretty well. I'm rambling. Please ignore me.

@ Crazypilot: I recommend anything from Nvidia's 400 series over 450. The GTX 460/470 cards both have massive bang for your buck. You be able to handle anything with those. 460~150 USD 470~200 USD (found mine on Amazon for 160)

I've managed to get a very good deal on a GTX 450. That good enough?

Actually..I'm building my computer from scratch. So far I've bought a motherboard which has been tested and is compatible, GTX 450 and an i7 I took from my old one, and a gaming computer case.

I think that should last you a while. Just double check that your PSU is up to snuff and you have enough RAM. 4GB of 1333mhz DDR3 should be enough.

I use a Gateway E series 2100. Piece of crap for gaming. But, we got it for cheap, and it is a corporate PC. It has about 75 gigs of memory, 2.2gb of ram, a Pentium 4 2.2 GHz processor, and an astonishing 96mb Intel 82865 Graphics card.
Am I back? Probably not.

Oh wait, let me tell you about my backup-backup computer which sits in the basement blanketed with dust and spider webs....you ready?

RAM:
512 MB

Processor:
(dunno) 700Mhz

Graphics Card:
Does this thing even have one? (something from 1999, I think)

Total Memory:
All drive storages add up to 300 MB

Comments:
This thing struggles to run YSflight on CPU Rendered LOWEST settings possible. I got about 10 fraps online on it once.

I just added LED cooling fans. All of my fins glow blue now.
