You mean like this? I only have 3, non-LED fans: CPU, GPU, and one on the back grill.

I know this is an old topic but I need help with something.
I'm currently planning to buy a new custom PC by the end of this year(after exams) , I'm wondering if these specs would be good enough to play games like BF3 , MoH:W , GTA 5 , etc. on medium or high settings.

Intel Core i5 3570k
GTX 560 Ti 1024MB
Corsair Vengeance 16GB RAM
Cooler Master 650W PSU
WDC 1 TB HDD
Cooler Master K350 Casing.

I'm not expecting much , I just want to know if these specs can run the upcoming games that are going to be released.

That'll kill BF3. My rig runs it on Ultra settings @ 50+ FPS on an i7-3370 and GTX 460.

Not really. A 560 Ti is almost a year old, and its sucessor is already out. I'd recommend you to get 8 GBs of RAM, 16's for video editing and heavy tasks.
Spend the money of the 560 and the excessive RAM and get a 7870. Or better, wait a bit and get its sucessor.

I think I'll wait until the successor is out.

A 560 will do you fine at high to medium settings for any game for the next two years or so. (Assuming the power requirements scale linearly.)
You're not going to need to upgrade RAM for a while either... 16GB at 1600MHz will be good for years.

I probably won't upgrade my rig until it has run everything play on low settings or I get a Youtube partnership and make money there. It'll take years for option one to be seen and option two is a few years out due to lack of subscribers and my own age.

Managed to get a bit of cash, and bought 2 4gb sticks of ram. Just for loading and rendering videos.

New Specs Are:
Intel Core (R) I3 Processor 2.27Ghz
8GBs of DDR3 RAM
Intel (R) Extreme Graphics (Not very Extreme to be honest)
320gb HDD
Running Windows Home Premium 64 Bit.
5.2 WEI (Windows Experience Index)

Bumping, and for a good reason. I just refurbished my new comp. I know, I said that I was going to buy a wholly new one, but refurbishing the family one is cheaper, and I didn't have all the money I needed. Still, it costed around 577 €, around 600 $. I do get to use it a lot. Next step is getting it in my room.
Well, specs:

- CPU: Intel i5 3570k (OC 4 GHz now, will get it to 4.2 tomorrow.)

- MB: Asrock Z77 Pro4

- RAM: G.Skill 2x4 GB 1600 MHz

- PSU: Corsair CX600

- GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6670 (Now, now. I also said I was going to buy a 7870. I think. But money was lacking for this, too, so I have to stay with this card
until next gen comes. Though I have heard it can run BF3 Medium with 35 FPS.)

- Case: So fucking old, 8 years. Don't dare to ask the brand or the model, because by the time it came I didn't know it, much less now. Though it has a badass
side fan 215 mm in diameter. That's gonna help when I OC it harder.

- CPU Cooling: Cooler Master 212 Evo. Pretty cheap for the value.

That's pretty much it. Have you guys overclocked? If so, how was it?

I saw this topic and not having posted here (and taking a break from studying), I thought I would "contribute":

-AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor 4800+, 2.5 GHz, 3 GB of RAM, MMX, and 3DNow (dual-monitor capability)
-Sapphire Radeon HD 5770 with GDDR5 and DirectX 11 capability and 1 GB of RAM
-DirectX 9.0c (the highest XP Home will support)

It runs YSFS with no problems, obviously the lack of RAM slows it down when I do my replays (still manages 15-20 aircraft very well). But it can also run DiRT, DiRT2, Need for Speed Shift and other 3D games quite well.
Check out my YSFS videos on my Youtube channel!

Like a computer with an Intel Core i5. Preferably with Windows(though some may disagree) or you could partition the HDD and install Linux on it. Both can run YS anyways.
