There are still rumors that Tom Petty may not be dead. Some reports say he was taken off life support, but that could mean he is breathing on his own. I've not been able to find an official statement from his family or associates.

In honor of the recent changes in elected staff members:

[avgeek]When I hear this piece of great composition I think of flying in a plane through the tops of clouds with the sunlight coming through in quick spurts.[/avgeek] Either way, a great piece of music by Johann Strauss, with justice done by Andre Rieu.

I was riding along listening to a classic rock station and this came on. I thought, "Woah, man. That song is just alright! Yeeeahhh." < Read that in the voice of a 1960s hippy.

A musical retelling of the Challenger disaster of 1986. Spine chilling.

Best part at 16:05

Reminds me of a darker more solemn version of High Roller by Crystal Method.

This Genre is apparantly "Post-Rock" and I must say I am impressed.

Did I mention these guys are Australian?

I'm always a sucker for a good a cappella arrangement with solid vocal percussion. And this also takes some good headphones to fully appreciate.
