Cool. I'm wanting to write a metal/rock style song with lyrics. Coheed be proud, ya know?

Nice one.

This is what I mean by good lyrics and simple chords:

I actually quite liked that.

Is it sung half solemnly?

Figured. The minor tonality is getting me though.

I couldn't really explain what a minor tonality is without a year long explanation.

Listen to nothing else matters by metallica, hear how it has a melencholy feel to it.

Then listen to nothing else majors (youtube). hear the difference.

Here's the next update: https://soundcloud.com/dwayne-brumby/th ... -the-knife

The Red Baron OST - Der Rote Baron

The main theme of The Red Baron movie released in 2008. Sure its plot line is more or less sugarcoated with a fictional love story of the main character with a nurse, but the acting is great, the atmosphere feels right, and the dogfight scenes are to die for.

The song starts with a calm choir before the beautiful violins kick in. With it brings a melancholic feeling of the horrors of WW1 and the heroes that died in it.

I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for my signature, I can tell you I don't have one. But what I do have are a very particular lack of skills, skills I have imagined having over a very long career. Skills that make me are completely useless in any situation. If you stop reading now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't stop reading, I will look for you, I will probably not find you, and I will kill your refrigerator.
