I'm a little bit skeptic about this, but still i think it's great news.

But i'll be skeptic 'till somebody gives me a link to the source or that this issue comes out on my National News tonight.
Until then, lets just hope the reporters got it right.

Ooooo...Obama just said on the TV address that it was done the old fashioned way: boots on the ground, with a group of SpecOps troops killing OBL in a fire fight. No friendly nor non-combatant casualties.

I imagine those troops that were part of the ops will be getting free beer for the rest of their lives.

If we're doing operational security right, this will unfortunately not be true, as even in the U.S. they would be a target for reprisals.

But before you start celebrating consider this he is not el-quida only its founder so don't expect an end to what he started we are still at risk.

Truth be known his death at this point is purely symbolic but a symbol that was sorely needed after 10 years of searching.
It is a symbolic message that no matter how long it takes if you decide to make an enemy of the U.S. you will pay the price sooner or later.
But there is still much more to do to stifle terrorism not only for America but for the world.

It would have been a huge propaganda victory if he had been alive for the 10th anniversary of the attacks. Yes there is the threat of reprisals; however, it will serve as a deterrent, no matter how small, to show that the U.S. will find you and hunt you down for as long as needs be. And that small deterrent could save lives.
