Beautiful. What's your render setup?

The rendering was all done in MentalRay (max 8.) Refract/Reflect maps are environment-generated for each material except the glass, which uses texture mapping. Standard bump-mapping is used for panel lines and rivets. The lighting is done with a skylight and one overhead spotlight. Final Gather is enabled at 300 samples, and there's also some baked Ambient Occlusion in the textures. I've been kind of learning Max as I go as I've made this model... started it about a year ago. It's this model:

83,476 Faces for the C model, so not too heavy. Definitely the most accurate legacy Hornet model anywhere right now though.

Dayum...If only YS wouldn't lag so much if it used high polygon models.

It's been done... it was a Tornado, and it made YS stutter like hell even on a good computer.

Talon didn't Lord Flash include those Tornado's in his pack?
I seem to remember there was a proviso from the author that if you wanted to use them you had to rename them from the original.

You may well be right, Gunny. I sort of left before Flash made a name so I don't really know his material, but I do remember that Tornado having some applied caveats.
Shutter - no, no Tornados there, but you've found all my old crap.

I have enjoyed flying those old crappy A-4s bud to this day.

And those Tornados came from CEP-KZS site packs. And if you download them make sure you read the readmes in them.

Nice work, Talon. And I'd have to agree - the legacy hornet is one of those aircraft for which there just do not seem to be many quality 3D models. I'd love to see this is a quality sim sometime.
