Favourite airplane

Post by Not1011 » Sun Oct 21, 2018 2:05 am

What's your favourite airplane?
For me, it's:
1. L-1011 (obviously)
2. DHC-6
3. DHC-7
4. A340
5. 787
I did not sell very well, so Lockheed killed me. I'm the reason it doesn't make airliners anymore.

Random stuff:
1. They ain't "sharklets", like Turbofan said.
2. The Tu-114 should really go back into service in a redesigned form.
3. The L-1011 should also return, too.
4. My posts are repeatedly deleted on the AM3 forum.
5. Concorde must return!

Right now my favourite airliner is the E-190 because it has massive windows and no middle seats.
Legacy Hornet is best fighter.
BK-117 and Kiowa are tied for best helicopter.

Due to work I'm bias. The best helo's are the AW139 family including AW189 and 169.

My favourite fighter aircraft is SHAR FA.2 with Ground Attack being Tonka, Bomber being Vulcan.

Best civilian has to be either the VC10 or Tristar due to both being too far ahead of their times to be successful. Best GA is Grob 115E Tutor, great fun to fly

Favourite fighter: F/A-18 Super Hornet (just saw one going over my area to Tinker AFB the other day!)

Favourite military transport: Lockheed C-5A Galaxy. No other plane can produce such glorious sounds.

Favourite civilian airliner: Look to the right. 'nough said.

Favourite general aviation: Gulfstream IV and V. Just looks-wise.

My general rant: I will call them blended winglets, not Sharklets; There is no CEO, it's just simply put, an Airbus 319/320/321, or the 320NEO, 321NEO etc. I didn't land IN DAL, I landed AT DAL. On the other hand, I did land in Dallas.

More about me:
-I'm a student in an IB school (get up early, most of the time at 5:00-5:10am, commuting everyday, 1h10m from my house to school). The commuting is almost end now I think.
-My future goal in 2 years time is to be enrolled into EasyJet generation pilot training. Wish me luck ;) Later on, I want to fly the Emirates A380 after 2-3 years flying the A320 :D

My favorite airplane is the F-14 Tomcat, particularly those with F-110 engines. I'll not pretend that it was the best of all time, but that doesn't really matter.
