Transparency Issues.

Post by ToxicSkylinesMH10 » Thu Oct 13, 2011 7:27 pm

Hey guys,

Ive got a little bit of a transparency problem.

I am using Blender 2.49

This is an A-10 Thunderbolt II (retro)

I repainted it to very basic colors so that I could just make a repackaged pack.
The plane works fine in the actual game, however, the canopy will block out the cockpit when I look at it in preview mode.

Ive had this small issue before and Ive never actually been able to find a cure for it.

Here are some pictures of the plane in the Preview mode:

And here are some pictures of the plane in the actual game, right after preview mode:

This is some kind of error with the transparency once again, there is nothing wrong with the rest of the airplane.
If anyone can help me out, I would be grateful :)

Also, I noticed on my own, that sometimes, when I change the frame rate number and save it, it will sometimes change how the canopy appears and sometimes it wont.
It may have something to do with this?

This is caused by the fact reduce peep hole effect is disabled in preview mode. Try moving the transparent srf's to the end of the .dnm.

Alright then, it sounds good :)

How would I go about moving the transparent srf's to the end of the .dnm?

And I appreciate it man :)
If anything right now, I understand it all better ;)

In blender, haven't got the faintest idea to be honest. In DNMviewer, you can just drag all the transparent .srf's to the bottom.
