Yep, USA map. Perfect example.decaff_42 wrote:Okay, I just have a few adjustments to make, and the Beta v2 release will be ready to go. When I fly around, I can see shaking, but I think that it's because I'm on a mac. Gunny has informed me that the windows versions don't shake with this map.![]()
Kinda scary how much larger this map is going to get before it's done. YSF doesn't handle these larger maps very kindly.

I'll be lucky to be done with Palawan when you get done with the rest.
I'm pretty sure by the time we get done adding it in
we will see a whole lotta shakin' goin' on.

Re: The Philippine Islands
How about we try running it on a server and get a lot of people online?

Re: The Philippine Islands

Just flying between airports I can see a lot of hard work has gone into this, I hope the members who originally made the request are grateful for all the hours of hard work.
Thanks, now time to do some exploring. I'm looking forward to doing some online flight if someone runs it on their server.

Re: The Philippine Islands
On my mac, I get shaking on any map larger than about 500x500km. This is roughly 10x that right now....sooo...Yeah you get the idea.

Re: The Philippine Islands
IT SUCKS
15 Fraps at max in D3D. The shaking was bad too. Don't get me started on OpenGL. I tried running it on lowest settings possible and then it managed to max out at 25.

NAVYGATOR IS DA MAN!!!
He simply blew my mind with the 5 sections he's done. Amazing quality and workmanship went into these section people. You better grovel at his feet.
With this contribution, the map stands at 39.6% complete. WOOO HOOO
A grand total of 350,000 square kilometers.

Da New Stuff by Gator:

Over all view of the map. Pardon the tags. (Anyone know a way to hide those?)
I removed the dark blue color, as it is simply assigned the ground color, and those large polygons are not needed anymore.

I think that NB-51-2, NB-51-5, NB-51-6, and NB-51-9 should have insurgent camps scattered around them because that is the main area of Abu Sayyaf. In fact, the city of Jolo in NB-51-5 is the headquarters of Abu Sayyaf and should have a central compound with a few AAAs and 1 or 2 SAMs. People willing to do military missions can go down here with their military stuff and try to take out the camps and the main base. That way this map has a feature Legit Hawaii doesn't have and therefore Philippines will be moar awesomer.
