YSFlight Realism

Post by Papa_Goose » Sat Dec 29, 2012 6:14 am

Hey everyone. I'm not sure if this has been done before, but can we compile a list of addons that make YSFlight more realistic? Sound, weapon packs, sceneries, aircraft etc?

Hiya. Have a look at "YSFlight Headquarters Pack" and our YSFlight Xmas Gift. Both have pretty good aircraft in them.

Speaking of sounds and realism, it is worth installing the YSFHQ Soundpack in your YsFlight Program. It really makes a world of difference for me.

I think the one best thing you can do to help out your experience with YSFlight is to just disable sounds completely. Did years ago and will never go back... :geek:

lol, did the same. Might as well download the official sound pack and give it a go. And there is a release of YSFlight called like this done by some guy that put some HD addons (without permission) and said that modified the YSF .exe, both things completely forbidden here. That's why he and his pack aren't mentioned here.

I recommend you download 2ch's sound pack. It makes the sounds in ysflight a lot smoother in ysflight, but don't be afraid to mix and match.

For realistic addons, anything by Grenuim is absurdly accurate from what I've heard (you can see it in the models).

Speaking of which, do you have the 2ch soundpack for the current YS version? Perhaps a link please?
I've used them before, and was awestruck by their sounds. But after the recent update, the new YSFlight version cannot seem to detect them at all, and plays the default sounds instead.

No, the release that I'm talking about is this one. http://flightsimhq.org/ysflight/
It's done by a guy called Galen Thurber, and seems to be inactive.
