NightRaven's Shed
Holidays just started, so life's slowing down a little. No more tests and lessons to deal with in the immediate timeframe. However, due to the concert last week, I had no time at all to relax until recently. Even then, the concert was great fun, so much so I forgot about everything else.
Anyways,
I've finished the main gears for the MiG-33. Now I just need to figure out the supporting struts.
I've also done up a gun opening and flare exit area.

I'm down to finishing the last bits of the 33. Most of the animations and major parts are in; I've just completed the strut animation, arresting hook, pylons and UPEO roundels. I've not included the cockpit, afterburners and minor panelling which I intend to do later, but it's already past the 10000 vertex mark.

So when I left you guys with the previous post, here's what I've done with it over the past few days.
Looks the same, just included some lights.
More detailing here...
Lovely burners. This is where the fun starts.

[PANELING INTENSIFIES]
Yep. A few days well spent.
Looks like the 10000 vertex target was a sheer underestimation...

I've flipped the gunport to the left side of the aircraft after remembering that MiG-29s have the gun on the left side, and also after playing the game again.
I intend to wrap up panelling soon as I don't want to lose my mind yet, and the cockpit remains to be done.

That was from so long ago haha
Yeah that FSX model is down the trash since like 2 years ago, as there were too many things to sort out, like painting, animation and alignment of objects.

NightRaven's Shed
Been busy af last month (and probably will continue to be busy for the rest of the year), so hadn't modded much. I've been playing more War Thunder these days as well...
either way
The 49th had released their combat pack last week in time for AirFest. What they didn't mention was that I was quietly doing up a HQPGAC version of their pack.

Haven't forgotten about the MiG-33, it's just that it's getting busier with more deadlines and exams. I'm also in the midst of designing a cockpit for the 33, as I don't feel like using others' work, specifically DOE's cockpit, which I feel has been overused in the new SARF pack.
What I've mostly done is getting the panel lines to work in D3D. Because once you satisfy the D3D lord, ALL OF YS IS SATISFIED.
As you can see, there aren't clashes with the main body, which really tick me off when I fly D3D.
Also, I have added control mixing of the flaps like in-game. When the elevator goes up, the flaps move down and vice versa.

So your CPU melts when you fly HQPGAC? What a potato you've got there. O_oDragon_Mech wrote:i think i can almost smell my cpu melting

i'm stuck with a 2.4GHz AMD Athlon 64 3800+. the thing wants to melt when there is a LARGE amout of calculations to handle (like Guam to SoCal large).NightRaven wrote:[post]90375[/post]

Re: NightRaven's Shed
+ new projects and also real life commitments (i.e. exams and project work), need I say more?NightRaven wrote:Unfortunately, I began to lose interest in the DC-10s (given the large timeframe of not doing anything on it) and also I found some major errors in my cockpit model. Due to these cockpit errors, I would have to re-align the center console's levers which are built into the DC-10 dnm, but I knew that re-importing every single dnm just to do that would be too time-consuming.
I'm thinking of redoing the entire cockpit, so if you really want it, you'll have to wait longer.

Hah. I'm using a 2.0GHz i7 which can overclock to 2.6GHz. I don't intend to OC it as yet though.Dragon_Mech wrote:i'm stuck with a 2.4GHz AMD Athlon 64 3800+. the thing wants to melt when there is a LARGE amout of calculations to handle (like Guam to SoCal large).NightRaven wrote:[post]90375[/post]

But you will never experience flying in YS at 8 FPS like I did with my old computer.
