Re: Zak's paint shop
I would like to see some actual painting from you, not just changing colors of things...like what you have here. I would be impressed if you actually painted up things rather than just pull the paint bucket approach and make random colors places.

Wasn't just trollery. I was off my ass drunk and still managed to find the edit button, screenshot it, and doodle a comment in PSP7. I'd just downed a pint of Arrogant Bastard in like 20 minutes, on an empty stomach.Iceman wrote:Okay. I know that trollery isn't allowed, but LOL.Animal wrote:

Re: Zak's paint shop
YES!! Zak, keep that in mind. Next time you choose colors, NEVER let the color dip below 16, and try not to let it go over 222.Taskforce 58 wrote:Ugh, I've mentioned it before on YSP, and I'll mention it here again. If the RGB value of the color you use has a 0 in any of the three components, avoid it!

For instance, where red would be 255, 0, 0
Try instead, this red: 222, 16, 16.

Might wanna re-examine your phrasing for clarity there...Lord Flasheart wrote:Please for the love of god try to make that nimrod paint better. Please.
Remember, nimrod is also interchangeable with moron.

Its kind of obvious which nimrod I'm talking about. You know, the big shiny one with wings?

Or if you work at the scrapping company, no wings.Lord Flasheart wrote:It couldn't be more clear if you dropped its pants and stood it in the middle of the road in a hi-vis jacket.

Flash, don't be a twat. Not everyone has the love of the type that you do, and would recognize it. Not everyone is reading the thread from teh beginning even. And still a few others will know that Zak's not always displayed teh brightest of behaviour, even though he's greatly improved (which is commendable). More over my comment stemmed from the fact that your phasing of the sentence is grammatically correct in both senses.Lord Flasheart wrote:It couldn't be more clear if you dropped its pants and stood it in the middle of the road in a hi-vis jacket.

Even knowing that the Nimrod was among his painted aircraft my original thougth upon reading it was: "What do you want us to do? Hit him with a stick?"
"Please continue to improve the paint work on that Nimrod."
Are these still color swaps or are you starting to cut your own patterns now?zak wrote:ok ok i read all of post it just the start. am learing step by step.there are just test one & i forgot to put i used blender for painting your models.
this is what you ment.
Looks like your canopy's lost thier transparency?

Re: Zak's paint shop
We added the British-made Rolls-Royce Spey engines, they had lower fuel consumption and where far more powerful than their American equivalent. The rear fuselage was heavily modified to accommodate the larger Speys and the air intakes enlarged to permit the greater airflow they required. It also had a different radar.
So the rear and nose where different from other models. One of the reasons I haven't worked on making this model is the fact I havn't found any 3 view images of the British variant (not that I've spent much time looking).
Zak, this will be a nice bit of homework for you, if you could at the very least change the nose to match the British version would be tops. The nose is the most noticeable difference between the two. If you are using blender go into edit mode and change the selection to nodes to change the shape of things. You will have to take your time as it can be tricky, and remember to do BOTH side EQUALLY.
