After finishing the model and flight testing, I have finally started painting the Sunderland B Mk I. Here is what I've done so far.

@ lucas and Monoceros To my knowledge the USPS has never directly owned an air delivery fleet.Historically they have always contracted to civil air carriers to deliver mail. What A/C you may have seen with the USPS logos and paint jobs are civil carriers contracted to exclusively carry the mail. But those paint jobs did exist mostly on 727s.

You can blame MSFS for that. I have a MD80 that was painted in USPS colors that flew around the scenery every now and then so I was misinformed. Wishful thinking I guess.

Did you incorporate the panel lines into the main body srf or make it a separate srf?

If by incorporating you mean grouping the panel lines to the main body, then no.

Have some bad news my friends. It's looking like the buccaneer project is dead. My laptop died last week so I've had to send it back to acer to be repaired. I did request that they try to preserve the files etc so hopefully I'll be able to pick up where I left off, and get the project wrapped up in time for Christmas :)

Hope you manage to get your files back Flash, can't wait to see the Buccaneers.

I'm popping in to tell you guys that the Short Sunderland Mk I's are completed. Over the past few weeks I repainted the models, built the flight deck and carried out flight tests. Here are some pictures:

Being a DIF fan, I can't say how much I love the plane models and paintschemes. And the pit is a killer!

Once I got my hands on them, it'll be sub hunting sorties all day for me.

Decided to try scratch modelling once again after a short conversation with Tommy.

unfortunetly I royaly screwed up and somehow messed up the positioning of the plane so now it's impossible to mirror the plane. At least i got some practice :D

Hey hey hey! (Fat Albert impersonation) Always great to see someone trying something! and BLENDER!! I see some reference images in there too. Glad to see someone followed shutter's tutorial. :D It's super helpful in setting up the model and getting an idea for how to do things.
