Re: Current Projects

We need more propliners. It's been said many times. I've been looking at the DC-4 and it occurred to me that the main body looks like it is simply a stretched version of the DC-3. The wings look pretty similar, too. The nose gear and a new vertical stabilizer would be needed, but it looks like it would be easy to convert.

Am I wrong?

I would love that Pat.But---there may be more work than you think. You will have to increase the wing span from 90' to about 130'reconfigure the wing leading edge to much less of an angle for engine placement for 4.Lengthen the fuselage considerably re-scale the empennage. Also this is not your standerd DC-4 this is a configuration of the design process with tripple rudders. Not the approved final design. It was the best resolution I could find and still be able to post it.Reminds me of the Connie.
Plus I kind of like it ;)

I was afraid it was going to be more difficult than I imagined, although the final production version still seems within my abilities. We'll see.

Wasn't suggesting you should build this particular model.I just thought the general dimensions would help in the mod.BTW the dimensions are accurate except for the tail feather of course.

I'm not sure how that would be easier. The fuselage is entirely different. I was looking for something I could convert relatively easily without having to reshape the cockpit area too much, since I'm basically incapable of doing that properly. (see the MU-2)

Tigershark is making a tigershark painted like a tiger-shark!

In other news, I've decided to take time off from modifications in YS, so all of my current projects are on hold for a while.

Made some more progress on Heathrow Airport today. The map now includes all terminals from 1 to 5 including most of the parking stands. :)

Looking good. Would be interesting merging that with RAF Northolt.

You've inspired me to make a fictional map with a raceway THROUGH the airport (though not in airport operational space if you get what I mean...?)
I am an accountant working full-time (and some). I'm not here as often as I would like to be. Send a message if you need me. There are a few people in the community who can get in contact with me urgently if you need - don't be afraid to ask. I just don't check here as frequently as I used to. Sorry!

Maybe You also can help with this scenery?
What I need are better racing track with elevated turns (like real with near 5-10 degrees on radius), complete elevated oval stadium, improving colors and efficiency (remove and simplifie paths where it possible).

Can't help with that. But as you have some bikes, how about you make some MX type bikes. Then if someone can figure out how to make them. We could have some areas made, that are like the one's, the Red Bull X-Fighters use. ;)
Fliped out of the arena, again! :(
