My general rant: I will call them blended winglets, not Sharklets; There is no CEO, it's just simply put, an Airbus 319/320/321, or the 320NEO, 321NEO etc. I didn't land IN DAL, I landed AT DAL. On the other hand, I did land in Dallas.

Turbot Island airport in progress, the city name will be Mandiola. Progress of the airport so far:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
11/16/12 update:

An airport is under construction. Mandiola International:

Those planes you see will be gone in the final release. Runway markings and lighting is complete, the "to complete" list includes taxiway edge lighting (always the most boring thing in a map), runway hold short bars, fuel farm, cargo area (a dedicated cargo hub will be provided for the various cargo airlines in YSFS now), and then the island itself, with its own to-do list. It will be a while folks.

I am an accountant working full-time (and some). I'm not here as often as I would like to be. Send a message if you need me. There are a few people in the community who can get in contact with me urgently if you need - don't be afraid to ask. I just don't check here as frequently as I used to. Sorry!

Hangar VEM
Completes Boeing 777 -200 -300 of Garuda Indonesia. It remains the Airbus A300 and Airbus A330-300.
Image

Manaus Airport
In the WIP project Brazil, Manaus airport is only 30% completed. It remains in the taxilines gateway, some more details like buildings and approach lights.

Project Turbot Island (a ficitional French territory) is about 95% complete. I'll probably release it sometime next month.

Just a suggestion. Are you planning to hide any of the faces on that elevation grid to make it less square like?

Ahh yes, I see what you mean. Yeah, if you mean hiding the zero elevation faces I can do that. I have applied Laplacian smoothing and delaunay triangulation so it does appear smoother in the sim.

Turbo, you should take all your fictional works so far and roll them into one big map.

Good suggestion vandal, only problem is I'll have to put Cul-de-Sac P.A.C. on an island (can't do Florida in the editor). I could combine Atlantica with Turbot Island though it might turn out to be a lag fest, which I know a lot of YS users don't like (myself included). Another multi-airport map does remain on my longe-term list of maps, now that I know how to properly do a child scenery structure.
