Nice suggestion, @Najmi :)
The A380 is ahead of its time. With the resilient passenger traffic growth for times to come (reference from Airbus's Global Market Forecast), plus congested airports, the A380 could not be ignored.

Make one in the livery of the USAF Thunderbirds.
;)It's a very old joke. I always request a new plane be painted that way.

^Personally I think it looks fine. What makes you think it looks like a Siamese cat?

Check this photo out skatjr.

Not downing Najmi's work by any means, but I think you have a more accurate fuselage thickness when compared with that photo. Now note two things: the placement of the nose gear, which you have in pretty much the correct spot and the placement of the flight deck. The flight deck is actually a little above the main deck and below the upper deck, it's not exactly halfway between the two decks; rather, slightly above the lower deck. So you'll only have to keep that in mind when you put in the windows (I'm assuming you're going to?).

Otherwise, you have a great looking model, I am very pleased with how it's looking. You even have the tail at the correct angle (judging from the screen shots I am seeing). One other thing (and Najmi has done this also) - only the inbaord engines have thruist reverser doors. The outboard engines do not have them.

Here's another photo for reference purposes.

Looking forward to this release!

I think he's referring to the general darkening of the nose area. This is most likely due to the faces having sharp angles but set to smooth, but without the dnm I can quite tell as well.

Do the vertices curve in towards the nose smoothly? Is there a cockpit behind the windows that is connected to the external fuselage?

typo in previous post: I can't* tell

Well looking at the Blender screenshots I'm even more stumped now. Try flying the A380 90 degrees directly upwards and see if there's any difference. Otherwise you can PM me the dnm/blend file and I'll see what I can make of it.

Looks like there's many vertices concentrated on the cockpit windows, you could simplify it with merging some vertices, convert to quadilaterals by alt+j,and try to make less triangle faces or triangle shape quads..
NOTE:If you going to remake the wing root, the 2 main gear door will be going hard work as it will close back after the gears extend but still left small hole for gear struts..
here's video reference on the door
And I did that tho..

I do not understand what you mean by a Siamese cat, but the in-game and blender images look find to me. If you want to send me the blender file, I can take a look at it a little closer, but so far your work looks fine!

That's a gorgeous paint job on that 78' there. Can't wait to see it at a show. There won't be an AirFest next year but hopefully there will be some other shows around.

There should be more shows - in fact maybe more this year, I hear of some of our members wanting to put some shows together. 8-)
