Disappearing ground object?

Post by Gunny » Sat Aug 13, 2016 7:04 pm

I would like to know why after saving .fld some ground object no longer have a visual appearance in scenery editor.Data is still there showing coordinates, bounding boxes and names. But no visual representation.Make editing a rather difficult process.I.E. adding jetways to terminals that no longer show.
Edit: they do appear in the game play however.

This also happened to me. Tested older and newer versions too, and it happens on every version.

As I know, SceneryEditor has some issues and its must be addressed to Soji Yamakawa.
As for me its give strange placing (cant place it on zero altitude level) of my misc ground object "60-INCH AA SEARCHLIGHT", so I always place it on scenery using direct editing of FLD-file in notepad.

I've wondered about this, too. Even some of my ground objects that are just boxes with a handful of vertices do it while more complicated objects are fine.

@ Pat Actually Pat they where your terminals I was working with. The only one seemingly not effected is the Term1 you made ages ago.And some of the buildings do a Houdini also.So the best work around is to make sure you have everything placed before you save it ;)

The terminal buildings and stairs are some of the regular offenders. I remade the terminal buildings a few months ago and it didn't help. I wonder if it's in the .dat file.
